Harvest Moon thoughts (and a Poll)

This evening is the Harvest Moon!  Mine rose over the trees all butter yellow and sailed into the clear perfect October night.  In my world, farmer neighbors are out and about this evening.  As we live in the age of electric light, the Harvest Moon is more decorative than illumination, but what a sky ornament!

Unfortunately, about the time the moon was rising, our neighbor's wife came screaming to our door about her husband, we didn't what it was until we realized that his arm was in serious condition.  She had put a bandana around it, but he is muscular, so it wasn't helping, I tried his belt, again no effect so my hubby brought me a bungee cord to tie around it.  Well, by that time the beautiful full moon was high in the sky . . . I guess it was better to help a neighbor than to see this once-a-year moon.  Blessings, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere
